HOT RUMOR: S. K. on Broadway!!
Sarah Knowlton sky rocketed to national attention last season as the over qualified secretary on NBC's, just for yucks, comedy Working.
This season the Divine Miss Sarah has left Upton Webber and the working stiffs of Working to pursue other opportunities. As her biggest fan, I hope she returns to television soon. America deserves a weekly dose of intelligence, humor, and beauty.
While
I understand that Working is retooling for season two, I
can't think of tuning in without the stunning, sane, and sensible
Hal. In a world of wackos, Hal functioned as the audience's
way into the fractured world of Upton Webber. While Savage's
Matt gets tempted to swim with the sharks week to week, we
know Knowlton's Big Sister Hal will be there as life guard. I
can't imagine Working without Sarah Knowlton. Well,
so much for Working.
Like her character, Hal, Sarah is a graduate of
the Yale
University. I haven't found any Web pics of her shows
there -- if any one has them please email me! Her
performance range is stunning Shakespeare, Ibsen, Chekhov,
Brecht, and a bunch of new plays.
While Sarah might be a new comer to national audiences, New York audiences have been treated
to her amazing work in
the original workshop of Rent
and the original workshop of Broadway's Titanic.

about Sarah Knowlton's contribution to Rent.
Last season Sarah understudied the featured role on Kyra in David Hare's Skylight on Broadway. She went on in the role and was dazzling. There was truly a sense on a star being born.
The Big
Screen has not missed Sarah's stunning talent. You can
catch her a Jennifer
Aniston's friend in The Object of My
Affection. Can you think of another actress who
could play the girl who makes Jennifer
Aniston jealous? Sarah recently completed her
role in a new John
Cusack film, Pushing Tin.
